We have been entrusted to love and care for all creation
As Psalm 24:1 states, 'The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it'—including even the smallest creatures, like your betta. Creation is a divine love letter, guiding us to appreciate and care for its beauty. The intricate beauty of a betta's fins is a testament to the Creator's artistry. By treating them with kindness, we honor both the creature and the Creator (Proverbs 12:10)
May this hobby bring you joy and deepen your wonder for the One who made it all and loves you very much.
At The Heart Of It All Is A Firm Belief...
All of creation was entrusted to us not for exploitation, but for stewardship.
As Psalm 24:1 reminds us, “the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it”—this includes even the smallest of creatures, like your betta. From the beginning, God designed humanity to be caretakers (Genesis 2:15). This act of placing us in charge was not just practical, but deeply relational.
I see creation as a love letter from God, thoughtfully written for us to enjoy, to care for, and ultimately to point our hearts back to Him. The delicate patterns and folds of a betta's fins are no accident—they reflect the Creator's attention to beauty and detail. In caring for our bettas with gentleness and respect, we honor both the creatures and their Creator (Proverbs 12:10).
